I love how the end of this episode is just them verbally pointing out how Mulder constantly gets his ass saved by Scully, that he’d be a dead a thousand times over without her, and basically her being there to question him is what keeps him going with The X-Files.
I’d like to agree with you, there, but remma the show went to $*** when David Duchovny/Mulder “left”.
‘Cause, well, duh.
It’s just typical Mulder and Scully. REALLY! Scully is the true hero of the series if you ask me. Don’t get me wrong, Mulder definitely has his moments. I know it’s his quest and everything. But, somewhere along the way…hasn’t it become Scully’s quest as well? A quest for the Truth?

If only it were 1997…
In 1997, this happened. I miss the 90s.

My entire life has been an attempt to get back to the kind of feelings you have on a field. The sense of brotherhood, the esprit de corps, the focus - there being no past or future, just the ball. As trite as it sounds, I was happiest playing ball.
David Duchovny
It goes the same for me
The key is to get to know people and trust them to be who they are.
Instead, we trust people to be who we want them to be - and when they’re not, we cry.
